I recently had the pleasure of reading a book by a new to me author and I couldn't put it down until I reached the end. Melissa Wardwell is the author of I Know The Plans, from the Promises from Above series.
What drew me to this book is the fact that Brad serves in the military, and he and Tiffany share a deeply personal struggle that my husband and I have navigated as well. With Brad serving, they spend more time apart than together, a fact which is enough of a challenge to any couple. However, when Brad returns home from his latest tour in Afghanistan, he is not the same man Tiffany bid farewell.
Melissa does a wonderful job of taking us through the highs and lows of Tiffany's and Brad's relationship. She shows how we must rely on God to bring us through the tough times. Through Brad and Tiffany she reminds readers that God has a plan for each and every one of us, we only need to wait and listen to Him to discover what that plan is.
Most importantly, she reminds us to fight for the one we love. Tiffany struggled when Brad returned from deployment, but she never stopped fighting for the man she loved. Although Brad faced challenges of his own, he fought for his relationship with his wife. Just as God never stops fighting for us.
There are a lot of good things about this book, and I rate it five stars. The story was engaging, the characters well developed, and the plot well crafted. In fact, the only down side I can think of is one you find with any book on the market. There were a couple of very small (I almost missed them) editing/grammar mistakes, but you can find those in any author's books.
If you are looking for a new book, or a new author to add to your list of favorites, I would recommend Melissa Wardwell and her Promises From Above series.

I Know The Plans
All the plans Tiffany and Brad made for their lives as individuals were thrown to the
